La Sauvanie - Welch home in the Dordogne

The Farmhouse & Hamlet.

Welcome to our home in Cherval in the Dordogne region of France. It is a farmhouse which we are told is nearly 300 years old initially being a farmhouse supporting an adjoining monestary. The house has been significantly modernised but importantly we have retained the character of the old house. Rendering has been removed and gates added. Barns surround the courtyard one being converted to a leisure / games area and the others used as workshop, storage or empty. The hamlet is surrounded by farms and in the summer months  the main crop are sunflowers.
